Dual Battery System for Off-Grid Adventures

A recent customer came to us looking to install a dual battery system in their vehicle, with the primary goal of powering a fridge and other accessories while off the grid. After discussing their specific off-grid power needs, we designed a solution that would keep their gear running smoothly during extended trips.

We successfully fit the dual battery system under the hood of the vehicle, optimising space without compromising functionality. To complement this, we installed an Anderson plug, USB outlets, and a power pack in the rear of the wagon, providing easy access to power for the fridge and additional accessories. This custom setup ensures the customer has a reliable, efficient power source wherever their adventures take them.

Behind Seat Dual Battery Setup

We recently completed a custom dual battery system installation on this Ford Ranger, perfect for off-grid adventures to places like Moreton Island! The customer requested a behind-the-seat setup, so we installed a high-performance Supcelion battery securely mounted in a custom battery cradle.

To ensure efficient and reliable charging of the dual battery, we included a RedArc BCDC. This smart charger maximises battery life and performance, especially when running accessories off-grid or on long trips.

The setup also features a charging pack in the tray for convenience and a UHF radio with an aerial to ensure reliable communication in remote areas. Check out the photos of this clean and functional installation!
